THE CHUCH OF SAINT VEDASTUS


The abbey of Saint Vaast of Arras owned its church rights rather early. Around the year 1450, the church was extended to its current size. The Gothic font dates from the 16th century. You can also see some important church furniture dating between the 17th and the 19th century.

NATURE PRESERVE DE HOGE DIJKEN


The 129 acres-nature reserve ‘De Hoge Dij-ken’ is partly situated on the territory of Jabbeke and partly on the nearby territory of Oudenburg. This domain was created by the exploitation of sand in het 70s. The domain has a well-equipped visitors’ centre ‘De Grote Zaagbek’ and four charming bird watching cabins. You can take a walk around the well, it takes about an hour.
